Start using CloudCone Easter special VPS.

The text is about my blog, which is a personal blog built using WordPress:

青山绿水(eirms.com)

Since the expiration of Tencent Cloud's server in the second half of last year, I haven't bought a VPS. Firstly, the domain name is not registered, so I cannot use domestic servers. Secondly, there are very few cost-effective Hong Kong VPS options, so I have been using the basic Hong Kong virtual hosting provided by Lao Xue Hosting.

Recently, some friends have complained about the slow loading speed, and I have also noticed that the speed has indeed decreased compared to before. Additionally, the configuration is not high, and I have multiple websites, so the 2GB disk space is not enough. After reading my friends' blogs, I learned about CloudCone. Coincidentally, these days are Easter in the United States, and there are lifetime discounts for American VPS, so I decided to get one.

Among the people in my circle, I know that Lao Zhang's blog and Liu Jin Sui Yue are using it. They purchased it during last year's "Black Friday" and now regret it because the configuration is too high and the performance is excessive. They spent more than 100 yuan, but the loading speed of their websites is still good.

Let me briefly explain the configuration:

MemoryCPUHard DiskBandwidthAnnual PaymentPurchase
1GB1 core30GB HDD3TB/month$15Link
2GB2 cores60GB HDD4TB/month$25.5Link
4GB3 cores120GB HDD8TB/month$47Link

I purchased the second option, which has more memory and a moderate price. It is located in Los Angeles, USA, DC2. The price is 176 yuan/year in Chinese currency, and this price is for a lifetime. The renewal fee is the same. Compared to my 138 yuan/year virtual hosting, it is very tempting.

I don't know how to test the speed of a VPS, so I used a webmaster tool to ping it, and the results were good.

One thing to note is that the IP assigned to you may be blocked by the Great Firewall. If this happens, you can destroy the host and request a new allocation. If that doesn't work, you can submit a ticket to request a paid IP change for $2, ensuring its availability.

Today should be Easter in the United States, and the discount period is limited. It will probably end after today.

Now that I have a VPS, I can start tinkering again.
